Around 74% of all transactions during the 2026Â second quarter across Brazil’s betting platforms are valued at around BRL 50 ($10). Moreover, this accounts for 23% of the total financial value. The stats reflect how low-value wagers have led the betting markets.
Paag, a technological company that specialises in data intelligence for the regulated market, conducted a study. This study analysed transactions of the company’s customers between April and June. Therefore, it offers insights into player behaviour and market trends.
In this case, the R$20 (about $4) accounts for roughly 45% of all transactions but contributes to 8% of the total financial value. And bets ranging from R$20 to R$50 (around $4 to $10) make up about 29% of transaction volume and 15% of the overall value processed.Â
Together, these two categories indicate that frequent betting activity is primarily driven by users making regular low-value deposits.
In contrast, bets above R$50 ($10) generated roughly 77% of the total financial value processed during the quarter. Transactions ranging from R$50 to R$1,000 (approximately $10 to $200) accounted for 57% of that amount.Â
Meanwhile, bets exceeding R$1,000 (about $200), although representing fewer than 1% of all transactions, accounted for about 20% of the floating funds on the platforms.
The survey also reveals that the majority of bets, accounting for 39% of the transactions, were made between 6:00 pm and 11:00 pm.Â
