Maryland Casinos See Yearly Revenue Growth in April 2026

Maryland’s six casinos generated a total revenue of $172.2 million across slot machines and table games in April, registering a 5% annual increase. So far, this has been the best-performing month in this fiscal year 2026.
But still, the gross gaming revenue for the first 10 months of the fiscal year stands at $1.6 billion. It records a 1.4% decrease compared to the same period last year.
The contributions to the state are approximately $72.5 million, with $52.3 million allocated to the Education Trust Fund. These funds also offer support to local communities, the horse racing industry, and other businesses throughout Maryland.
MGM National Harbor has been the leading revenue generator, with almost $74 million. They have surpassed last year’s April revenue by 7.8%.
Live! Casino & Hotel ranks second with just over $63 million. It reflects a 7.4% raise in revenue from April 2025.
As of today, the state has permitted the operations of six licensed casinos and sports betting, including mobile sports betting.
These six state casinos were opened between September 2010 and December 2016.
But legal challenges prevail with real-money online casinos in Maryland.
