Double-Digit Betting Boosts Portugal Q3 Online Revenue

The online gambling in Portugal touched €297.1 million ($346.5 million) in Q3 of 2025. This marks the second-highest quarterly amount on record, with 11.6% year-on-year.
According to the latest report from Serviço de Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos (SRIJ) regulator, marks on year-on-year growth from sports betting and casino games.
The revenue from the sports betting sector hit €99.7 million. This number represents a 9.3 % year-over-year increase but is 8.7% lower than Q2. Players wagered €504.6 M, which is 4.4% higher than Q3 2024 and is a 10.3% jump from Q2.
Total revenue generated from the online casino for the Q3 segment climbed to €197.4 million. This registers a 12.7% growth from the previous year and 11% above the previous quarter. The player spending rose by 12.5% annually and 8.9% in Q2.
The registered list of players is now closing 5 million, registering a 7.8% year-on-year increase. Over the last year, 358,100 have joined the online account.
The SRIJ regulator also blocked 54 unlicensed casinos and referred to 130 domains during this period.
