Coljuegos President Marco Emilio Hincapié has confirmed in his statement that Colombia’s Gambling Sector has transferred $225m to subsidise health systems.
National games, namely lotteries, raffles, and promotional draws, leverage concessions from Coljuegos, which is a state-authorised regulator of Colombia. The gross revenue generated from the National Games shot up 26.9% to COP 566.5bn.
On the other hand, there was a marginal growth in territorial games that include chance, Raspa&List, and local lotteries, accounting for COP $317.4bn, increased by 7% every year.
Marco Emilio Hincapié also mentions that the lottery segment earnings rose by 5% from January to June despite the growth of digital transformations.
