Arizona lowest monthly sports betting handle since August

According to reports from the Arizona Department of Gaming, the sports betting handle in Arizona experienced a decline, resulting in a drop in gross gaming revenue to $543 million in 2025. However, it remains 19.6% higher than the revenue made in the same month of the previous year. 

The majority of the sportsbooks preferred online betting, contributing $540 million to the total handle. Only the remaining $2.6 million is attributed to retail betting. It is to be noted that Arizona players received $478 million in return, accounting for gross receipts of $67.3 million.

Fan Duel, to retain its top position in the market as the leading operator in Arizona, recorded earnings of $18 million from a total handle of $177.6 million. Overall, the industry generated $5 a tax revenue $5 million in June..
