iGaming

iGaming Revenue Highlights

  • The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJGE) has published the monthly earnings report.
  • The casino is the leading revenue generator, making 284.1 m in July.

The gaming industry is experiencing a bull run in New Jersey, with figures suggesting $606.2m (in July), resulting in a staggering growth rate of 10.7% year-on-year. This year’s total revenue generated stands at $3.93 bn, contributing significantly to the country’s tax revenue.

Note: Taxes recorded for this July and this particular year are $81.7m and $446.1m, respectively.

Despite not experiencing the same growth rate and consistency as iGaming, the casino is still the leading generator with 284.1m with a 4.3% rise year-on-year.

Subsequently, the earnings from iGaming for the month of July stand at $247.3m, marking a 26.6% annual growth rate.

Both the casino and iGaming have shown an upward trajectory in growth and revenue. The case does not remain the same for sports betting, which was down by 6.6% on % year-on-year basis with $74.8m.

The biggest red flag is that taxes for sports betting and iGaming will increase by 19.8% which could hinder their growth further.
