According to New Jersey Gaming Enforcement reports, the gambling revenue, including iGaming, amounts to $642.2 million, recording a 15.7% year-over-year growth. It is also 5.9% more than the revenue generated in July this year.Â
August has also been a record month, especially for online casino operators, as they have collected $248.4 million, setting a new benchmark. In short, the iGaming segment registered a 25.2%Â annual growth rate in August.Â
Sports Betting, to another sector that has shown tremendous growth as total revenue surges by 30.6% resulting in a revenue of $81.9 million. It was a productive period for even land-based casinos as total revenue rose to $311.9 million in New Jersey.
The tax collected from New Jersey this August was $86.1 million, with the majority of the tax income of $49.1 million coming from the iGaming sector.Â
