Macau: Investment Firm Predicts 5% Rise in GGR

CLSA analysts Jeffrey Kiang and Leo Pan, on Wednesday, have estimated a GGR of MOP258.43 billion (US$32.3 billion), with an increase of 5% in 2026. As per the official report released on 21st November, the government expects GGR of MOP236 billion for the upcoming year.Â
The official stated that these modest projections reflect “caution amid global economic uncertainties”.Â
CLSA predicted the GGR of MOP244.830 billion by the end of the third quarter. The revised estimate, though, indicated a marginal rise of 0.4% keeping in account the GGR print for October, while the forecast remains unperturbed.
Morgan Stanley cites that the Macau gaming sector will end 2025 on a high note with a projection of 16% GGR growth for the fourth quarter.Â
In 2024, the government initially aimed for a GGR target of MOP 240 billion for 2025. But projections were down to MOP228 billion after a slow start to the year and ongoing economic turbulence.Â
